Sarah is very honored to announce her continued role as ‘UNESCO Artist for Peace,’ in support of the UNESCO World Heritage and Sustainable Tourism Programme! This programme represents a new approach, where planning for sustainable tourism, heritage management and natural and cultural preservation is valued and protected.
Heritage is the legacy from the past, what is lived with today, and what is passed onto future generations. Cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. World Heritage sites belong to all the peoples of the world, irrespective of the territory on which they are located. Sarah is looking forward to working with UNESCO to enable historic and cultural preservation at World Heritage sites, and promote sustainable cultural tourism in the coming years!
