The spectacular Perseid Meteor Shower begins today … and tonight, August 12th and tomorrow night, August 13th are the best days for avid space enthusiasts to view this annual event!
Perseid occurs every year in August and is one of the brightest, most numerous, and long-lasting of all the meteor showers. The number of meteors you see can vary from just a few to a hundred per hour … and is dependent upon how dark of a location you watch from, and the number of expected meteors. On a good, moonless night, you might catch 60 – 100!
