The Kiev Pechersk Lavra is also known as the Monastery of the Kiev Caves and is features both a beautiful monastery and elaborate system of underground caves and catacombs that offer profound insight into Ukrainian Christianity from the past to the present. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it is a sacred historic-cultural preserve and considered one of the seven wonders of the Ukraine.
