Also known as the Mooncake Festival, Lantern Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival, it is celebrated as a national holiday in China and many other East Asian countries. On this day, people take the day off work, view the moon, cook and enjoy time with family and friends. Asia is one of Sarah’s favourite regions to visit.
